Trump wants to garnish the wages of student loan borrowers and people with medical debt. The bankers and insurance companies should pay for their gutting of our middle class. The American people didn’t want or ask for these three to four trillions in debt: it was dumped on them by Republicans since Reagan.

1. Ahh, the days when our government worked to help all the people, not just the rich.

Reagan helped to turn public opinion against our government, which allowed its takeover by the wealthy and by corporations. He gutted government funding by drastically cutting progressive federal income taxes, which were further decreased by subsequent Republican administrations. And that leads us to where we are now: huge federal debt, huge wealth inequality, shrinking middle class, massive corporate greed, and a federal government that is unable and unwilling to enact policies and programs to benefit the people. Remember Reagan stated his nine most terrifying words were “I’m from the Government, and I’m here to help.”
