1. I don't get why people need such big houses

3. and don't even get me started on how so many of the uber-wealthy live

their houses look like MUSEUMS, who the fuck wants to live in that? I don't get it, not at all

5. I agree.

A lot of them have high ceilings and that means in winter it is hard to keep them warm. The hot air rises to the ceiling but the people are on the floor. I remember visiting a family in one of those homes and it was just so cold. Beautiful expensive home but they can't keep it heated, either because of the expense or the impractical design.

6. Near where I live is a gated community (with guards). A reired (former) friend (was a maggot) lived there and I went

to visit the 5600 sq ft house he and his wife occupied a few years ago to see his model train layout which is the same sq ft as my whole house. He complained about the guy across the street who just built a 7200 sq ft home for himself and his wife (both in their 80s). He commented that the other couple only finished the main floor's 3600 sq ft because neither of them could climb stairs.
