Real Time with Bill Maher (HBO) - 2/20/2026

Last edited Sat Feb 21, 2026, 03:10 AM - Edit history (1)

I've updated the videos since only the main part of New Rules was available, but now they've added a discussion between the panelists and the Overtime segment two hours late, but unfortunately the "bootleg" video is gone. At least we're seeing more from State Rep. James Talarico who is running for senator to replace Senator John Cornyn. James Talarico is running in the Democratic primary against Rep. Jasmine Crockett and Senator Cornyn is facing Attorney General Ken Paxton in the Republican primary. Sorry for the late additions.

James Talarico and Lauren Boebert Debate Church & State

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert (R-CO) and Texas State Rep. James Talarico join Bill Maher to discuss whether states should mandate the display of the Ten Commandments in schools.

New Rule: The King's Speech

Bill Maher weighs in on the pomp accompanying the State of the Union speech, saying that the president's entrance is treated more like a king.

Overtime with Bill Maher: James Talarico, Lauren Boebert

Bill and his guests – State Rep. James Talarico (D-TX) and Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) continue their conversation after the show.

Here's a "bootleg" version of the show which includes the entire interview with Paul Anka, who recently released his 37th studio album Inspirations of Life and Love and is the subject of the HBO Original documentary Paul Anka: His Way; entire panel discussion with James Talarico, Democratic state representative from Texas who is currently running in the 2026 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate; and Rep. Lauren Boebert, Republican congresswoman who represents Colorado’s 4th district; Bill's "Funny Bit"; and the opening part of New Rules. It won't last long, as usual:

But when Talarico speaks, he says more in 2 minutes than she or bill Maher can say in 2 hours.

2. It really is a positive thing that Talarico's getting all this publicity since voters are getting to know him

So disappointed in Paul Anka. I don’t want to hear any man in his 80s talk about his sex life. Can you imagine if an 84 year old woman talked about her sex life? Other than that, it was pretty predictable - Boebert sounded like an idiot and Talarico was very well spoken.

4. I have to agree with you and I also thought that James Talarico was the best part of the show
