Little did we know what was on the future horizon back then. I sure preferred the bicentennial to whatever is in store for us this year.

We had a big parade in town, and people dressed in costumes. There were tours of some of the oldest houses, ours was one of them.

I remember that they guy who played George Washington wore a wig...
