It was Brian Tyler Cohen or someone on his staff - but it's one of my pet peeves.

"Decimate" means to destroy one out of every 10 objects in a group. A person is not a group and therefore cannot be decimated.

(It also does not mean to obliterate. Destroying one out of ten in a group of people may be cruel, but it is not the same as destroying most or all of a group)

I will at times get so engaged in the editing process prior to posting a thread that I overlook the meaning of words such as what you pointed out. BTC is abusive with clickbait titles which is sad considering that he was an English major in college. However, he does reach a large audience so he must be doing something right.

3. Semantics of the title aside, this

young woman is spot on in pointing out how OUT OF TOUCH Trump is with the vast majority of voters outside of his rabid base.

I hope she goes FAR in her political career because she is intelligent, laser focused on the REAL issues and great in highlighting just how pathetically Trump is misinterpreting the vast number of voters whose concerns he totally ignores.... or simply doesn't care about.
