Maddow: For a would-be strongman, Trump is profoundly weak - Rachel Maddow - MSNBC

Rachel Maddow points out that Donald Trump is following the "strongman" playbook so closely, and with such a lack of originality, that his behavior in his second term has become entirely predictable. And yet, for all of his aspirations to be a strongman, his leadership suffers from some profound weaknesses, from the economy to healthcare to criminal justice to immigration. - Aired on 09/15/2025.

... made the entire show about stories OTHER than the one receiving saturation coverage... Charlie and Tyler. Other things are happening in the world. NATO, Russia, Gaza, Venezuela, health care (the cancer and vaccine stories), the Lisa Cook etc attacks... all newsworthy. Rachel also outlines the "strongman" (dictator) plan well. I would say that we should also be paying attention to "what they say," because it can predict "what they do." For example, the repeated "left wing lunatic" phrase.

If more Republicans had voted yes on impeachment, we wouldn't be in the abysmal fix that we're facing today. According to Liz Cheney's book, only 10 House Republicans had the guts to vote yes on impeachment - and of those, only 2 were voted to the next Congress. One excuse they used was "he'll be gone soon..." If only...
