The puppet master doesn't have to obey his puppet, and Putin doesn't have to do what you tell him to do. His interests and yours don't always coincide - he'll use you when you're helpful to him and he'll ignore you or fuck with you when you're not. He's not your friend. Everybody knows that but you.
