What are typical prices on the retail market in legal states?

I live in TX, and have existed my entire life in a state where it's illegal. I'm used to it, it's my normal. I can (hypothetically) purchase a THC vape pen (the skinny ones) for about $45 (so I hear). I can (again, hypothetically) get about half an ounce of herb for close in on $75 (so I hear again). Are these disgustingly high prices to you legal-state people, or is is close to your prices?

This is just idle curiosity on my part. I did't even know there was a forum here for Cannabis, but a few clicks later and here I am.

You must remember we in legal states do get high quality, clean, and tested weed.

TX price seems about right for modern black market connected to lots of domestic supply.

recreational cannabis has been legal for several years now. Once a week or two I purchase a "lavender lemonade" drink with cannabis. I typically have some in the evening, shortly before I go to bed, because it helps me sleep. And I'm paying right around $100 for that.

I also do a lot of bartering. 1:1 for shrooms, a zip per lb of scissor work, 1/4-1/2 for general labor, depending on the job.

You can get ounces for as low as $40, and it's good quality. That's what I paid in 1980! One place is giving away a free half ounce if you spend $100. Lots of discounts for first time customers too.

I can get 7 grams, almost a quarter ounce of 50-50 for about $40. That lasts me about 4 months, I've always been a lightweight as far as pot goes.

Just a random screenshot from a random day of sales ongoing at a random dispo in a random city in def not-random Michigan. In the state where I live, distillate carts can cost 8 times as much (or more, if they’re fancy-schmancy terpene-rich lovingly live-pressed, etc.). Visit the website Weedmaps for price comparisons and peruse the sales. Because there’s always something [/i on sale. Perhaps you’ll see instances where arbitrary state laws influence prices.
