Thanks, been "lapsing" on self testing

Mostly I find it's harder to cheat when you do not do it religiously on Monday Wednesday Friday as my dad used to. But I had not done it.

Also when I know I will get physical, fire coverage, I take it with me. While I know alcohol will change the measurement, that is one place I use it. It's not like you can find a bathroom in the middle of a wild fire.

I don't let it (or the rest) stop me.

my dad's was not that bad, mine is far more aggressive, but still not as bad, (Or how far it has progressed)

Now Type 1 or on insulin, test yourself more often.

My aunt, may she rest in peace, ate cake, candies and all that, but stopped 48 hours before her scheduled finger pricks. So she kept having a lot of spikes, and the neuropathy was bad. Her A1C was not stellar, but her log book was.

That is what I mean by cheating.

there is a birthday. My biggest problem is not having good food on hand. By the end of the month I am eating things I know I should not because I need to have enough carbs to take my pills without pushing the blood sugar level too low.

In the morning before eating, and again several hours after eating supper.

I use the morning read as a guide as to how well my meds are working.

My evening reading tells me how my body is reacting to different food.

I've been lapsing by only testing first thing in the morning. Needless to say, I've been cheating something awful.
