I've noticed that there are forums in which the hosts seem to have disappeared from DU.
For example, over in the World History Forum, one of the hosts last posted in 2015, the other in late June. (Very few objectional posts, if any, ever show up there, but I suppose it could happen.)
Over in E&E, the senior host (who I remember and liked a great deal in the old days) last posted in in 2019. Another, who is on my ignore list, well over a year ago.
Is there a mechanism for cycling hosts out based on presence, an update? Are they ever checked to see if they check in?
It's a minor point, as things seem to flow OK generally, but it makes me wonder.
