1. Entertaining but I prefer the original

Not the Americanized version but the original where they dealt with the horrors of the nuclear bomb and radiation.

2. This movie was not the AMERICAN version. this was TOHO STUDIOS

THIS movie did receive an Academy award for a Foriegn film, but it is FROM JAPAN this is GODZILLA envisioned by the JAPANESE.

4. I was referring to the 1954 Gojira

The American version had Raymond Burr as the reporter , they deleted some of the more important and controversial scenes. Minus One was good but it drives my dog nuts.

5. THE SAME STUDIOS that did GOJIRA in 1954 is the very same

company that released SHIN GODZILLA and GODZILLA minus one... all are Toho productions.

6. I have all of these and love them all, I don't speak Japanese,but also have the Japanese versions.

Godzilla and Gamera, my favorites. I’m always a little disappointed in the American versions. They rely too much on star power and special affects.
