I'm surprised the officials would even allow such a scary building to be constructed.

My apartment was small - a roku-jou and a yon-jou-han - that is one room six tatami mats big, a second room 4.5 tatami mats big, plus a kitchen, toilet, bathroom and genkan, and it was a freaking palace compared to this.

In fact, I had a big spaghetti party for friends and got (I think) 21 people into the space.

It was also about 40,000 yen/month, but far, far, from Tokyo - in Iwate, in fact.

Seriously, I was starting to itch watching that . . . Yeesh.
