Jim. My best friend for more than two years, my lover, my heart.
He was a tRumper. I forgive that.
He was 49 1-2 years old.
I am gutted!!! I turned 50 on Friday and it was the worst birthday of my life!
Thanks for reading. Just need a hug.

(6,896 posts)He was a punk! Bass player.
I also love music.
We were gutted when John Prine lost battle to Covid. This was our song.

(14,792 posts)Many of us here also have lost loved ones during or just prior to the pandemic and it's a struggle. I lost three very big ones in my life just in the past year or so, and now suffering again through their birthdays and anniversaries of their deaths. Thank goodness for my two adult kids, my bird feeders, music, stuff to fix around the house, meditation and for DU.
I hope you find a path to peace and closure, perhaps through meditation or Mother Nature, or through other friends.

(291 posts)A new co-worker started with us right before the shelter in place when Covid hit. During that time her sister was having headaches and found out she had a tumor. Unfortunately, her sister lost her fight.
I told my co-worker, you'd think God would give us a break from any addtional heartbreak during this horrible time, but it just doesn't happen.
I'm very sorry for the loss. I turned 50 just a few weeks ago also, certainly not how I imagined my 50th year on earth would be.
Sheesh this year hurts...don't give up. Hopefully the clouds will clear soon.
