49ers Robert Saleh hired as Titans' head coach

After his impressive second act with the San Francisco 49ers, defensive coordinator Robert Saleh will get a second chance to be an NFL head coach.

Saleh, 46, has agreed to a five-year deal to become the Titans’ head coach after he interviewed with Tennessee earlier in the day, a league source said. The Titans went 3-14 this season, but they have a promising young quarterback in Cam Ward, last year’s No. 1 pick, and lead the NFL in salary cap space.

Surprised by the choice. Sorry to see him go.

Everyone in the league knows if you coach the Jets it’s not your fault if they are horrible and deserve a second chance to be a head coach.

However it’s not uncommon for successful. Defensive coordinator is to struggle as a head coach in today’s NFL.
