(31,201 posts)If he was resuscitated right away.
I do wish they would give more info, even as i understand the family's need for privacy.

(31,201 posts)Although if it took more than 3 minutes or so to get started, it could be too late for his brain health.

(14,166 posts)I would consider that him to be in oxygen deficit when he went down....He was running and would need more, immediate oxygen from the exertion... So, when he went down, he was already deprived with a great demand for oxygen..

(21,583 posts)They also restarted his heart with a defibrillator during that time.
I don't know how long it was between the cardiac event and the beginning of CPR. But with trained medical professionals watching the game and running to him - I'll bet it wasn't more than 1-2 minutes.

(31,201 posts)The goal was $2500, after all. I hope the charity has plans for all this money besides buying toys.

(10,599 posts)The hospital has yet to make ANY official statement or hold a news conference. Only ones talking are non-immediate family members or friends.

(21,583 posts)If the family wants to share information - that's legal. Hospitals should never say anything other than "critical" "serious" or "fair" condition. I am presuming the Uncle is hearing information from Damar's doctors.

(10,599 posts)It seems like normally a hospital would comment on his condition and if he was improving, when its a news story this big. Unless theyre being told not to.
It just makes me fear that he is really not improving to any significant extent. Wouldnt they want to ease peoples fears with positive developments and outlook?

(15,648 posts)There's been a lot of, "THIS WAS THE VACCINE!" BS going around the internet about his unfortunate incident.
