Tonight: Shohei Ohtani vs. Max Scherzer in Game 7 for all the marbles!

The Dodgers are turning to their two-way superstar on the mound.

The Jays counter with "Mad" Max Scherzer, who is now 41 years old. He was the starting pitcher for the Washington Nationals in Game 7 of the 2019 World Series, which the Nationals won.

It's going to be must-see television!

This was Max Scherzer in the dugout moments before starting Game 7 of the 2019 World Series for the Nationals.

He's taking a moment to gather his thoughts. Or maybe meditate or pray. Nothing wrong with that.

I wasn't being critical of Max in any way.

He's the picture of intensity. The warrior spirit. The will to win.

He'll have that again tonight. The only question is whether he can make his 41-year-old body perform to the level that his mind wants him to achieve.

It will be fascinating to watch.

I did misunderstand you. I think it's going to be a good game. I'm hoping that Mad Max pulls it off one last time.

After he's left the game; he becomes a baseball sage and you can't really shut him up. Truth be told, he really knows the intricacies of baseball.

Expect a short outing, something like a bullpen game maybe. Or he pitches a few innings of relief.

Tyler Glasnow only had to throw 3 pitches in the bottom of the 9th to end the game, he'll be well rested and ready to come in for long relief pitching should Ohtani falter.
