He played second base yesterday. Last week, on his day off, he pinch hit and was inserted into left field.Tonight, the usual first baseman, Lamont Wade Jr, was the designated hitter.

Fun fact: Wilmer Flores has two brothers, both named Wilmer Flores. The youngest brother is a pitcher in the Tiger farm system. By many accounts, 24 year old kid will make it to the big show soon.

Incredibly, the record is 12! Done twice.
He needed another grand slam to TIE the record.
That's an amazing night for him, but the record is even more amazing.

For nearly 7 decades, Bottomly held the record alone. That was one of my go-to baseball stars when I was a kid.
Then, Mark Whitten matched it in the 90s. He was the second guy ever to have 12 RBI & he had 4 homeruns on that game.
Bottomly had only 2 home runs.
Yeah, I was a stat geek when I was a kid!
