(1,555 posts). . . and to your team! I'm so glad they won the Series. I got to see them play in September at Anaheim Stadium. I think that's cool - that I saw the WS Champs play.
I'm so excited for the new season!
Is that celebration going to be televised?

(20,807 posts)The Rangers only have 26 more World Series championships to go in order to equal the New York Yankees.
Yes, opening day. My 75th opening day.
Good luck to everyone, and to your favorite team.

(6,786 posts)Having a pro team since the time of Moses, well, you should have that many. LOL.

(20,807 posts)I was the first to rec your post.
Are the Rangers going to repeat? They're going to have to get a little lucky, not having Sherzer, de Grom (for at least half the season) and not having Montgomery at all.
The Yanks are in the same position. Cole out until June, at best, Cortes is a big ? along with Rodon. Even with Soto, it could be a long, sad season.
Oh well. I've weathered quite a few bad years with the Yankees, but there were some fine seasons mixed in.
Have a happy!

(20,807 posts)We won a road game in Houston? That won't happen again. 😉

(6,786 posts)But if the Yankees stay healthy, theyre gonna be trouble. You can feel the new vibe with this group already.
I know, one game.

(5,149 posts)How many championships do the Yankees have since the Rangers came into existence? I think the Yankees hold a pretty good lead there as well. (Not taking any sides).

Mavericks NBA
Cowboys Super Bowl
and now
Rangers World Series.
Whether any of them win them again is immaterial to me. It is just cool that they did.

(20,807 posts)Sorry. I just had to rub it in a little. The Yankees winning in Houston happens about as often as complete solar eclipses.
You'll get us back, I'm sure.

(1,831 posts)They played well in Spring training. Of course, that means they will choke opening day.😂Have to be an optimist to love those Astros.
SergeStorms
(20,807 posts)shut down their lineup for too long. After Cortes gave up 3 in the 1st inning my inner voice was saying, "well, this game's over". Except the home run in the 2nd inning the Yankees shut them down the rest of the way. I couldn't believe the Astros didn't clobber the Yanks with the hitting they have.
Tomorrow is another day. You'll get us back. The Yankees always have trouble with the Astros. Always.
