        for the most points all-time in the next game or two. 
There might be a case for a hall of fame induction for Mr. James.

He's about to pass Carl Malone in points.

        You're right. Lebron has accelerated his scoring pace the last few games, but it's going to be a while yet before he surpasses Kareem. 
Looks like he'll do it in fewer games (1,359 for his career versus Kareem at 1,560). But I'm not sure how much more scoring has increased per game in the modern era compared to in Kareem's heyday. I'm guessing quite a bit.
