behind the soft lips the white teeth and the pink tongue
lies a sweetness of love’s taste now begging to be drunk
once i tasted of this delight and heard every song sung
yet to sadly let this go to waste as all of time has shrunk
often with the gentler touch the passion stronger shared
merely brushing brings a peak of hearts both quivering
the need to grasp and clutch all emotion exposed bared
spontaneous to search and seek of bits of skin shivering
how to find the final release an excuse ending every kiss
drawing back the climatic edge without power to repeat
giving desires which increase the churning cycle of bliss
the love or lust which we allege bodies at last are replete
taken down from a cross cut scarred bleeding and dead
forsaken and bereft at a loss held by the fraying thread
