Spillover by David Quammen.

Came out two years ago. It's about how animal diseases get to humans. It includes a very good rendering of the Ebola outbreaks over the years, up to 2009, which was the last one before the current one.

I have also been recommending the two Laurie Garrett books, The Coming Plague and Betrayal of Trust.
