My dad WWII, Navy, Phillipines. I mentioned this on DU b4. Democrat thru and thru. He reposed unexpectedly at 45, aortic aneurysm. I was 13. Big bummer.

was formed. Not a bad quality, but missed some of being a teen. My mom didn't expect this of me. I just felt compelled.

my dad was hospitalized for a year when I was 14 - he died at 50, by suicide, but I was an adult by then

He was a WWII veteran, suffered through the Bulge, severe frostbite, death all around him. Today we would call it PTSD.

My condolences, Skittles.

although if there was one thing that eased his mind, it was music, he had hundreds of 45's

I don't know how guys lived with the kind of memories your dad had.....just awful
