I didn't come to DU often when Biden was President because I didn't want to see the media turn on him, then I forgot how to post pics. I didn't even introduce Retro as a puppy! And the girl in my Avatar, Layla, just turned 15. I am grateful to the Universe that they are beside me every single day (even when Retro plays keep-away with my shoes).

(4,272 posts)Thank you, for sharing pics of your best friends and loyal companions. I'm happy for you that you have the two of them. Especially in these whirlwind time of debauchery, from on high.
I'd be a basket case without my pets. They will always carry you through.

(13,768 posts)My and my ex adopted Layla when we got home from my Dad's funeral. I needed a small being dependant on me feeding her and cleaning up her pee, LOL.

(11,561 posts)Their love shows in their eyes. The eye to eye interaction releases oxytocin, the "love hormone" which is so beneficial to both the dog and their human.

(13,768 posts)I can feel the oxytocin "whoosh" when I look into their eyes.
