get the red out

(13,768 posts)

I haven't posted in a long time

I didn't come to DU often when Biden was President because I didn't want to see the media turn on him, then I forgot how to post pics. I didn't even introduce Retro as a puppy! And the girl in my Avatar, Layla, just turned 15. I am grateful to the Universe that they are beside me every single day (even when Retro plays keep-away with my shoes).

I have crashed into horrible depression twice in Layla's life, my thinking was rocky until I would look at her.

Many of us fall into bouts of depression, and pics of DUers' pets are darned good medicine!

Thank you, for sharing pics of your best friends and loyal companions. I'm happy for you that you have the two of them. Especially in these whirlwind time of debauchery, from on high.

I'd be a basket case without my pets. They will always carry you through.

My and my ex adopted Layla when we got home from my Dad's funeral. I needed a small being dependant on me feeding her and cleaning up her pee, LOL.

Their love shows in their eyes. The eye to eye interaction releases oxytocin, the "love hormone" which is so beneficial to both the dog and their human.

This method of picture posting has worked for me. Hope it can work for you.

Go to postimages.org
1. On a computer, drag the photo from your desktop to postimages Choose images box.
2. After a couple of seconds, when the upload is completed you'll see a list of links. At Direct link click on the blue and white icon at the right to copy the “direct link.”
3. In the Photography forum on DU click on Start discussion and on the next page type in a title for your photo. In the Discussion text box click paste, then at the bottom of the page click Post. Wait patiently and your photo will appear on DU.

Let me know please if this helps. It's fun to see readers respond to your photos.
