Sorry for the delay on updating about Sian

I was at the vet's for almost 3 hours.

I have to edit what I posted. Sweet Sian just crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I'm shocked beyond words and crushed to the core of my soul.

I just read your previous post! I have never heard of this illness before and I am terrified by the severity of it. At least Sian is bigger and has more to fight it with. I am so sorry to hear about this!

On edit, I was just told flea anemia. Damned fleas are just vicious to young kittens and other small animals--but even adult dogs can die. Only behind mosquitoes and ticks--in the worldwide harm to people and animals.

I have followed your posts for years. My daughter was part of a cat rescue group and many litters camped out at our house before being placed in forever homes. Quite a few stayed on as members of our family. I am praying for you both and would contribute what I can to her medical care if finances are an issue.

I lost a kitten to flea anemia years ago. He’d gotten flea treatments but the damage was done. Vet said it changes their platelets and when it’s bad there’s nothing they can do. Prayers and hugs to you.
