Almost a perfect afternoon on the deck....until Skippa started a fight with my sneakers.

He never really wins, it's 2 against 1. But jeez, it is annoying when you are enjoying a late PM cocktail on the deck on the best day of Spring, so far. While listening to a lovely blend of new and old acoustic music.




Then this happened:



As expected, squirrel made a safe get away. Skippa just wanted to play. No dice.

1. He has a fight with your sneakers with your foot in the sneaker?

4. Never....he hates 'em, but more clamp and look to see what I think of it. He's kinda annoying sometimes..

in a "pay-attention-to-me" sorta way. The sneakers are my beloved Stan Smiths....been wearing them since the 70's. Not the same pair, of course. When Skippa was a puppy, he gnawed both heals and the tongue. Sneakers never forgave him of that transgression.

"I'm gonna pretend to take a big bite out of your foot and shoe, what you gonna do about it mister."

I thought you were going to tell me you were wearing the same sneakers since the '70's.
That would be a reason for doggie to go after them.

Goldens are such sweet dogs.
I used to have them, but then ended up with little Maltese doggies, easier to handle.

8. In my life, he's GR#3. Did have a great Black Lab for 15 years, too.

These days, we are best buds.

12. Two chocolate labs are my granddogs.

Sweet girls.

Not as sweet as a golden however.

They are safely locked away.
