As a pup he was much darker…then he drove himself to the groomer …she did mention after the first cut his color may change…yes it did!

Had to add this one throughout the years on our many hikes, Roscoe always winds up with a leave stuck there.

She was chewing on the trim of that door so, as told by experts, I sprayed it with vinegar. Her response:

"Mmmmm. Now it's like a wood salad..."

11. My Parakeet Houdini that is still a baby and can't fly yet
Sat Nov 8, 2025, 12:22 PM
Saturday

His name is Houdini because he is so clever at avoiding capture, he led me on a wild chase more than once. I bought him in September 2025 and he hasn't molted yet and cannot fly.

I have 4 parakeets, 2 older ones and 2 new ones. I set up their area so they can fly around and climb up a Juniper branch if they want. They like chewing things up, and they take down all the twigs from a Juniper branch quickly. There is a ladder for the 2 young ones Houdini and Gretchen to climb back up when they inevitably fall to the floor
