An ID if you will. Unlabelled at our arboretum.

I usually love photographing seed pods, but this one repulses me on some level. I guess the spikes remind me of what you see on flies.

I used to eat milkweed when I was a younger lad. I had to boil it several times, changing the water to get rid of the latex. It is very high in Vit A.
