so, im doing this rehab on my 2flat. added a half bath to each unit, but the 2nd flr is particularly small. the contractor came up w a 23 sink, but its too big.
so, i go in search. my usually recycling place lets me down. i try to search online and find that lowes cant keep depth and width straight.
i stink my nose in the home despot, and they have the perfect thing for a good price. phew.
well, i went to grab it today. didnt see it, couldnt get a sales person, but i ask at the window/door desk to check if its available. no. not there, and not in most of the other nearby store, tho there is 1.
well, thinking it might be discontinued, i try to find a manager, and see if they will sell me the display. i think theres an inventory going on. by now its taken my half an hour to get a pint of paint and a clerk. i cant get service. so while im waiting for a manage, i pull up lowes page, see an 18, figure f it, and go.
get to lowes, and yes indeed, it is 18 deep, not wide.
so i come home, figure ill order online and see how long it takes. guess what? web site says the store has 5. i order for pickup, 20 min later, there is it.
le sigh. this whole job has been a nightmare. im so glad its almost done.
eta- i guess i didnt make a big enough deal about the fact that they did have the sink i was looking for. just have to pick it up.

otherwise, check on eBay and local salvage shops. Maybe you can cobble together a cool solution.
