Very true, but their idea of 'supposedly can work' is suspect to say the least. (n/t)

(11,006 posts)1. If it's any consolation, meds aren't what they are targeting. It's people who supposedly can work and reducing
federal share of extended Medicaid. And a good bit of that is two to three years away, maybe more.
Thats not to say any cuts to Medicaid are justified. Until we get universal coverage, well keep arguing about who should be in this program vs another or being forced into uninsured.

(21,585 posts)2. Thanks for pointing all of this out!
I'm not going to be directly affected by the Medicaid cuts, because I am "lucky" enough to be over 65 and on Medicare. But I have been worried about what's going to happen to millions of other people as well as what the cuts to Medicare are going to mean.
If most of those effects are at least 2 or 3 years away, I feel a little better. If the Democrats can take the House back next year, a WHOLE LOT could change.

(11,006 posts)4. Totally agree, it's how it is applied. I doubt anyone in a Nursing Home or on disability needs to worry. But, as most
things under trump, I'm no longer as confident.
