(4,458 posts)I don't think it does. I did get a bit frustrated with it, but once you really want to know the answers...i found time to watch it to the end. There is more than one surprise.

(13,811 posts)I found The Stranger similar to Broadchurch in it's appeal. Then I searched for other Harlan Cobin stories and found The Five, which I actually thought was a little better. My only complaint is that such terrific stories have such generic titles.

(71,460 posts)It is based on a Stephen King book of the same name...not exactly the same but very good. It has Holly who made her first appearance in Mr. Mercedes ...she still runs Finder's Keepers detective agency. It was on HULU for a while but is now seen on HBO Max.

(78,440 posts)I am in the middle of the second episode, and I have put some of the pieces together.
But some of it is still a mystery!
Very good.

(78,440 posts)If you like quirky British mysteries, try "Life on Mars" on Amazon. Either Britbox or BBC I think.
It is one of my favorite series.
