Putin's Fuel Crisis Is Spreading Fast - Professor Gerdes Explains 🇺🇦

Russia's fuel crisis is spreading from occupied Crimea into Moscow, St. Petersburg, Belgorod, Kursk, occupied Luhansk, and other regions after repeated Ukrainian strikes on refineries, fuel tankers, ferries, logistics routes, and energy infrastructure. The video follows the crisis day by day from June 1 through June 6, showing how fuel shortages, rationing, black market gasoline, damaged rail ferries, unsafe roads, and drone attacks on supply trucks are disrupting Russian-occupied territories and exposing the limits of Moscow's control.

The discussion also connects the fuel crisis to Russia's wider economic pressure: refinery runs falling to a 16-year low, the budget deficit growing despite higher oil revenue, military spending becoming harder to sustain, electricity exports to China weakening, St. Petersburg forum embarrassment, missing economic officials, business closures, medical shortages, food panic, and Putin's claim that Russia's economy has merely fallen to Europe's level. The result is a picture of a war economy under pressure from both Ukrainian strikes and Russia's own structural weaknesses.
