This was quite an eventful first day in office for the new U.S. Ambassador to Poland, Tom Rose. His unsavory comments about EU Sustainability Omnibus directive have ruffled some feathers as the diplomat lambasted the initiative, claiming it's going to bring an end to American businesses in Europe. However, after some serious convincing on behalf of Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, he backed out of his earlier statements.
Poland is a "loyal ally" of the U.S. and expects full respect, emphasized PM Donald Tusk, following critical comments by U.S. ambassador to Poland Thomas Rose.
Poland has been great, said U.S. President Donald Trump, praising the country for its migration policy in his latest interview with the British broadcaster GB News. He also commended Polands conservative president, Karol Nawrocki, and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

(182 posts)I think Trump is still planning to cut off support for Ukraine. He knows Putin has Kompromat on him from Jeffrey. Trump is supporting all of the other Putin puppets in Europe and now is trying to influence Poland and Germany. He's using US economic power through tariffs against Brazil for prosecuting Bolsonaro and bailouts of Milei in Argentina to support Autocrats in South America. The Republicans he has been blackmailing to vote in lockstep against funding Ukraine because they said we needed to focus on supporting Israel are now going to use the coming unjustified attacks against Venezuela as the new reason to stop funding Ukraine. And Trump's racist attacks against South Africa over the G20 are just more proof of the agenda he's pushing.
