Why Russia Intervening in a U.S.-Venezuela War Is Plausible, But It's a Bad Idea - William Spaniel

The United States and Venezuela continue along the path to war. Meanwhile, Russia lurks in the background, as a long-time supporter of the Maduro regime. Will Russia come to the aid of Venezuela if a war begins? This video examines that question. At first, it may seem that Russia is too tied down in Ukraine to be of any help. However, a Venezuela War would look very different from the War in Ukraine. In turn, there are large stockpiles of weapons that could conceivably go to Ukraine. Instead, the bigger barriers are the logistical challenges of covering such a large distance and the political problems that would arise if Russia does.
