Russian-funded fake news network aims to disrupt election in Moldova - BBC News

A secret Russian-funded network is attempting to disrupt upcoming democratic elections in an eastern European state, the BBC has found.

Using an undercover reporter, we discovered the network promised to pay participants if they posted pro-Russian propaganda and fake news undermining Moldova's pro-EU ruling party ahead of the country's 28 September parliamentary ballot.

Moldova is sandwiched between Ukraine, and EU-member Romania, meaning it has strategic significance for both Europe and the Kremlin, experts have said.

It is called Fox News.

This guy’s former executive producer and Fox News exec. celebrated Trump’s 2016
“victory” in Moscow with some of the same Russians who attended the 2016 meeting
in Trump Tower.

“Jack Hanick, a onetime producer at Fox News, has been indicted on charges of working for a sanctioned Russian oligarch to establish TV networks in Russia and in other European countries.”
