(41,903 posts)2. Prior to trump the US Navy used to keep the Malacca Strait free from piracy and ship robbery. Now
this so-called commander-in-chief is indifferent to international crimes.
Highly recommended: One book, Sea Power, of former U.S. Navy Admiral James Stavridis' excellent books on US Naval work across 75% of the globe. His description of the Navy's security for world trade in the Malacca Strait puts the importance of this strait in proper perspective. SO much geopolitical, naval, and leadership information are in his books.
