Denmark's government has summoned America's top diplomat in Copenhagen over reports of US nationals allegedly carrying out "influence operations" on the island. Danish media say at least three US citizens with links to President Trump were attempting to promote Greenland's secession from Denmark and joining the United States. President Trump has repeatedly expressed his desire to take control of the Arctic territory, which is largely autonomous but part of the Kingdom of Denmark.
