Trump Hints He Will Reward Putin's Invasion By Demanding Ukraine Give Up Land

He once again blamed Ukraine for getting invaded and also twice confusingly referred to Alaska as part of Russia.

WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump on Monday hinted he would demand that Ukraine give up territory seized by Russian dictator Vladimir Putin during his three-year invasion and once again blamed Ukraine’s democratically elected leader for getting invaded.

“I get along with Zelenskyy, but, you know, I disagree with what he’s done, very, very severely disagree. This is a war that should have never happened,” Trump said at a White House press conference of Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and his recent statement that he cannot legally cede territory.

“I was a little bothered by the fact that Zelenskyy was saying, ‘Well, I have to get constitutional approval,’” Trump said. “I mean, he’s got approval to go into war and kill everybody, but he needs approval to do a land swap because there will be some land-swapping going on.”

Trump announced last week he would host a meeting with Putin in Alaska to broker a peace agreement, and his comments to reporters Monday are the most detailed about his view of what needs to happen to persuade Putin to end the war.

Trump knocks Zelensky for resisting ‘land swap’ with Russia

President Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday over the leader’s resistance to cede territory to Russia, saying he disagrees “very, very severely” with Zelensky.

“I get along with Zelensky, but, you know, I disagree with what he’s done. Very, very severely disagree. This is a war that should have never happened,” Trump told reporters at the White House, referring to Russia’s more than three-year war in Ukraine.

In an attempt to broker an end to the conflict, Trump announced last week he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Friday.

Trump has said the meeting will touch on some territorial swapping for “the betterment of both” countries, a proposal Zelensky staunchly opposed Saturday.

3. How crazy is it that trump really seems to believe that Ukraine started the war?

It’s all crazy and backwards and I really resent living in this world. I can’t imagine how the Ukrainians feel or the people in Gaza. None of it makes sense and I keep hoping to wake up, knowing that’s not going to happen.

Putin butters Krasnov up, and the Russian Asset is predisposed to believe what Putin tells him. At the same time, America's allies rip America off in his transactional view, especially Ukraine.
