Related: About this forum"Was It All For Nothing?": Putin's New Invasion Plans for the Next 20 Years - The Russian Dude
At first the invasion was supposed to last no more than 3 days. Then it became months and even years. Besides adapting, Putin also realized that keeping war going is actually good for him. So he, through his subordinates, hinted new invasion plans for the next 20 years, which will involve next generations of people. Was it all for nothing then?

And Americans were welcome, despite the people's fear and hatred of Reagan whose pressure on Gorbachev caused the Russian hardliners to scale back Gorbachev's progressive policies - glasnost and perestroika, openness and restructuring. Putin was also KGB.
