A spreadsheet of reflecting a decade of the IEA's World Energy Outlook data for consumption and sources of energy.

The 2025 World Energy Outlook is out, and as always, it contains tables of data of sources of energy and the amount of energy utilized, now reported in the SI unit Exajoule.

I add this data to a spreadsheet I keep year after year as the planet burns.

It speaks for itself, confronting delusional claims like the "decline of coal" because of so called "renewable energy."

For reference, here's the updated version.

(Some of the earlier editions used the unit MTOE - million tons oil equivalent - but have been converted to the SI unit EJ in the table.)

Look at it if you can and try not to weep.
