...but unlike most of us, a person who worked hard for the common good most of his life.

A truly moving letter for, among other reasons, the fact that it was certainly not required that he write it. I would guess that there have indeed been times, when the attacks were particularly many and vicious, that it has helped steel our President's resolve to do the right thing. Thank you for that Senator Kennedy.

It's beyond sad that Senator Kennedy - who was known for working across the aisle - became ill and left us when he did.
