Anyone else here use car wax in the bathroom?

We have really hard water where I am. I used to never be able to keep the water spots off the glass shower doors, even with squeegeeing after each shower they still got spots. Then I remembered how my grandmother used to use car wax on the mirror in the bathroom. It keeps it from getting foggy, or deveoping those streaks heavy steam can cause. So, I tried it on the shower doors and it worked like a charm. Best part is it lasts a long time. It usually takes about three months before I notice the water isn't running off like it used to.

I also use it on my bathroom fixtures now and they're all water spot free as well.

4. You can use it on tile and fiberglass in the bathroom as well.

I do it on mine now and all I have to do to clean it is wipe it with a cloth. Just be very careful not to do the bottom of the tub like I did once. It was slippery as glass and it took a half a gallon of pickling vinegar to get it all up. Not my brightest moment.

by warning us not to use it on the tub. It made me laugh just thinking about a slippery tub, and I would have been dumb enough to think it was a good idea too.

This is definitely worth a try.

I tried to use my granite polish on my formica (sp?) vanity. Do not recommend. It made a streaky mess.

Car was I can see though as it dries hard enough to buff out.

5. Yep. It dries streak free.

I use the cheap liquid stuff and just put on a thin coat. Let it dry to a haze and buff until it shines. Easy as pie!
