Game 7 between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Toronto Blue Jays kept us riveted from start to finish. Nobody is going to forget this one. nyti.ms/3JI4ZVV

I miss baseball from the sixties, when an hour and a half game took two hours and not the three plus hours they take now. Those days are gone. But I still get a sense of "boys of summer" about the Jays when the play gets intense.

(22,548 posts)The SF Giants were in on the bidding for all the incredible stars from Japan and lost every time.
One thing the Jays have in common with LAST YEAR'S Giants, hopefully never to be seen again with new GM and new coach. LEAVING 'EM LOADED.
The sorriest thing in all of baseball.
Damn nice try.
No slight on the Japanese players. I wanted all of them in "Frozen North California"

(8,871 posts)the Bluejays were a formidable and worthy opponent. I watched the series with my housemate - a die-hard football and basketball fan, but baseball not so much. That said, we were both riveted to the series and went absolutely nuts at the end. Long live America's pastime! And who could not love a player named Mookie Betts?!
