Affordable housing a top issue in Dane County Board special election

Residents of downtown Madison are voting over the next few weeks to elect a new representative on the Dane County Board.

Former Supervisor Elizabeth Doyle, who was elected in 2019, resigned from the County Board’s District 1 seat in March. To fill the vacant position, the county will administer a special election on Tuesday, June 17.

The County Board is made up of 37 legislators across Dane County. District 1 includes seven wards near the state Capitol, spanning the width of the isthmus between Lakes Monona and Mendota.

Law office manager Adrian Lampron and legislative assistant Colin Barushok are campaigning for the District 1 seat. The Cap Times interviewed each about their experiences and hopes for the role.
