Wisconsin Elections Commission dismisses complaint on Green Bay aldermanic race recount
GREEN BAY, WI (WTAQ-WLUK) – The Wisconsin Elections Commission dismissed a complaint against Green Bay and City Clerk Celestine Jeffreys related to a 2024 aldermanic race.
David VanderLeest filed the complaint regarding the outcome of the District 6 race, which Steven Campbell lost by 15 votes.
The complaint alleged the city “abused their discretion and acted contrary to law by accepting non-secure ballot bags without matching tamper evident seal serial numbers during a recount of the 2024 Spring Election held on April 12 for the sixth aldermanic district of Green Bay.”
In a 12-page decision, issued Tuesday, the panel rejected the claims.
