Madison Clerk's Office mails absentee ballots for June 17 District 1 election

MADISON (WKOW) -- The Madison City Clerk's Office has mailed absentee ballots to voters who requested them for the June 17 special election to fill the District 1 seat on the Dane County Board of Supervisors.

Voters are encouraged to send their ballots back early to ensure they arrive and are counted on Election Day. The clerk's office reminds voters to fill out all highlighted sections on the envelope.

To be valid, the absentee ballot envelope must be sealed, signed by the voter, signed by a witness, and include the witness's printed name and address.

The clerk's office recommends mailing ballots as soon as possible.
