Former federal prosecutor Salgado, 45, was an attorney with the Justice Departments Public Integrity Section before resigning to make his first bid for elective office.
Levar Stoney
Stoney, 44, ran Virginias capital city for eight years before being term-limited out of office in 2024.

the Historic Triangle Dems put a decent guide out for the various candidates, here https://historictriangledems.com/elections/. Whenever I'm not sure which candidate to choose I usually check out who endorsed them (especially if there are more than 2-3 candidates running).
