6 Democrats want to be Va.'s lieutenant governor. Here's what to know.

Alex Bastani
Bastani, 61, is a retired economist and lawyer at the U.S. Department of Labor and also was president of his local chapter of the American Federation of Government Employees union.

State Sen. Ghazala F. Hashmi
Hashmi (Richmond), 60, is a former literature professor and community college administrator.

Babur B. Lateef
Lateef, 53, is a prominent Northern Virginia eye surgeon who is chairman of the Prince William County School Board, recently served on the University of Virginia’s Board of Visitors and was chairman of the university’s Health System Board.

State Sen. Aaron R. Rouse
Rouse (Virginia Beach), 41, is a former Virginia Beach City Council member who plays up the fact that he is the only candidate who has been elected to positions in both local and state government.

Victor Salgado
Former federal prosecutor Salgado, 45, was an attorney with the Justice Department’s Public Integrity Section before resigning to make his first bid for elective office.

Levar Stoney
Stoney, 44, ran Virginia’s capital city for eight years before being term-limited out of office in 2024.

I'm leaning towards Aaron Rouse now.

Any DUers have strong feelings for any of them?

the Historic Triangle Dems put a decent guide out for the various candidates, here https://historictriangledems.com/elections/. Whenever I'm not sure which candidate to choose I usually check out who endorsed them (especially if there are more than 2-3 candidates running).
