Texas power grid could reach peak demand on Wednesday - KVUE



The Electric Reliability Council of Texas said this month might break a record for May power demand, with 84,000 megawatts expected to be used Wednesday.

wanna predict when it will crash? Because it almost surely will at some point. And will the orange slime be as ruthless to them as he was to Arkansas a couple of weeks ago, when he told the Governess to "solve the problem herself"?

Texas ranks first in the nation for wind power generation, second for solar power generation, second in the nation for battery storage.

Wind and solar energy produced 31% of the state’s electricity in 2023.

Texas is at the top for wind energy and very close to the top for solar. Thank you for the enlightenment. Then, what in the hell is the problem? The grid? No storage capacity?
Is it largely under the control of the Texas gov't.? If there are enough homeowners with solar panels and a storage system there shouldn't be a huge problem.
For the record, I will continue to bash Texas at every opportunity, more specifically, the politicians and the voters that put them there, period.
But, when I'm wrong, I'm wrong. Now I need to know why energy in Texas is such a problem.
