SC Democrats set sights on November as election field fills out

COLUMBIA, S.C. — This year, South Carolina Democrats say they're confident they can gain ground in the November election, and right after the primary runoff, they're preparing for those races.

"After last night, the choice before us is simple. We can either continue with the same leadership that has produced the same results for decades, or we can choose a new direction, a new South Carolina," said Rep. Hamilton Grant, D-Richland.

South Carolina Democratic House leaders are setting their sights on the November election following the results of Tuesday's Republican primary.

"For nearly a quarter of a century, South Carolina has been led by Republican governors and Republican controlled legislators. Yet, too many families are still struggling," Grant said.
