Allegheny County to offer ballot return sites, satellite voting locations ahead of Election Day
Allegheny County will offer two ways to make it easier for voters to return mail-in ballots early in this year’s election.
The county Elections Division will operate four satellite locations and 10 ballot-return sites in the lead-up to the November election, once again offering multiple ways for voters who want to use a mail-in ballot to ensure they get their vote cast before Election Day.
The three-member Board of Elections voted unanimously Monday to approve the plan.
Ballot-return sites allow voters who have completed a mail-in ballot to return it without relying on the mail. (The sites will be staffed by county elections employees during hours of operation: They are not “drop boxes.”)
