Election 2025: 8 candidates on two teams will face off in Souderton Area School Board general election

Voters will see two full slates of candidates vying for four open seats on the Souderton Area School Board this November, as Tuesday’s primary election results revealed a clear split along party lines.

According to unofficial tallies from Montgomery County’s Department of Voter Services, the Souderton Area for Responsible Leadership team secured the Democratic nominations, while the Keep Souderton Strong team claimed victory on the Republican side.

Representing the Souderton Area for Responsible Leadership are four newcomers: Alexandra Wisser, Corinne DeGeiso, Rosemary Buetikofer, and Andrew Souchet. On the Republican ticket, three current board members — Andrew Landis, Stephen Nelson, and Janet Flisak — are joined by newcomer Steve Long under the Keep Souderton Strong banner.

All candidates cross-filed to appear on both party ballots, with the exception of Nelson, who appeared only on the Republican ballot.
